About the Chalets
Nannup is 267km from Perth.
Our property is 55 acres, which means you really are getting away from it all when you stay with us.
We have our own private lake which includes a lovely little white sand beach where you’ll find kayaks, tables and chairs, sun lounges and toys for kids. We bring in a fresh load of sand at the beginning of every summer and many families spend a lot of their holiday relaxing there.
There are manicured gardens and lawns which are lovingly tended by a local gentleman, and there’s a large patch of virgin bush.
If you’re feeling particularly energetic we can direct you on a walk that takes you up a steep hill at the back of the property. You’ll get some great views from the top and you’ll get your heart pumping into the bargain.
There are four chalets on the property, each spaced well apart to allow plenty of privacy for guests. Each chalet sleeps seven people in two bedrooms. There’s a large balcony for long days of relaxing, and a log fire to make things cosy at night.
There are also three spa studios, which are located together although they don’t share any common walls. The spa studios sleep two.
There’s a lovely function centre complete with full sized commercial kitchen, which enjoys views over the lake. Our reception office is found in the same building.
Finally, there’s the personal home of the owners, Di and Graeme Ness. It’s a commanding and spectacular dwelling, complete with a delightful chook house off to the side which looks like it’s come straight from Switzerland.
About the Owners
Our journey to Nannup started 10 years ago with us staying here as guests at the Nannup Valley Chalets, then called Nannup Valley Retreat. We loved it so much that we came again the next year with some very good friends. The retreat was for sale. Graeme and I (Di) talked about what we would do if we owned this beautiful property. It was out of our reach at that time so it was just a dream.
The new owners changed the name to Nannup Valley Resort.
We loved Nannup so much that we bought a property in Jalbarragup, a place just south of Nannup. For 8 years we visited as often as we could, staying most holidays and long weekends. We made many wonderful new friends in Nannup and we were often joined by friends and family who also loved a down south getaway.
We started looking to purchase the Nannup Valley Resort in about 2011. When we first looked our son was still in High School and we didn’t want him to have such a big change at that time in his life so we held off. Over the next couple of years we kept an eye on the resort hoping we could purchase it one day. Eventually all the stars and planets aligned and we sold our Sorrento home and bought the Nannup Valley Resort.
Our new venture began…..
